Epicentrum Student Academic Society

Epicentrum is a student academic society bringing together students of Electronic Information Processing

Epicentrum logo: in the middle, the letters 'EPI' written in capitals, below the letters 'CENTRUM' inscribed in a semicircle. The inscription is encircled by purple lines.

We focus on interface design and the study and analysis of phenomena related to human interaction with computer systems. We create user-oriented applications, placing particular emphasis on design, user experience, and the high usability and accessibility of the final product. The society operates within the JU Faculty of Management and Social Communication.

The Epicentrum Student Academic Society was established between March and April 2006 following the initiative of a group of second-year students of the Cultural Studies programme, specialising in Electronic Information Processing. Today, the programme uses the name of the specialisation as its official name.
