The Marketing Team of the JU Institute of Information Studies currently consists of students from various years of the Information Management programme. The Team’s main responsibilities include maintaining the Institute’s positive image, managing visual consistency, and sharing information about the Information Management and Electronic Information Processing programmes, events, and achievements of both staff and students. The team also contributes to the organisational activities of the Institute.
An important role of the Marketing Team is to reach out to alumni and collaborate with other University units. With the team’s ongoing development and support from the Institute’s management, a dedicated studio has recently been established, equipped with photography and recording stations.
Students involved in the team are responsible for creating, editing, publishing and managing content on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Spotify. These activities are carried out independently, under the academic supervision of the Team coordinator, Dr Dorota Rak.
Through their work in the Marketing Team, students gain experience and knowledge in the area of social media, copyrights and useful tools in the digital environment as well as strengthen their role in shaping the organisational culture of the Institute. These skills can later be applied in the job market.
