Electronic Information Processing (EIP) is a modern and unique degree programme offered at the Jagiellonian University. It combines IT competencies with knowledge from the humanities and social sciences. The curriculum covers both theoretical and practical foundations of computer science, as well as topics related to linguistic, visual and audio communication, placing them within a broad cultural context. As a result, EIP graduates acquire versatile skills that make them stand out on the job market – they are able to design and implement modern IT services, understand communication mechanisms, and analyse and create digital content at the highest level.

First-cycle (Bachelor's) programme in EIP
The first-cycle programme in Electronic Information Processing lasts 3 years (6 semesters) and leads to the degree of licencjat (Bachelor). More than half of the curriculum (51%) is based on computer science, but it also includes topics from linguistics, art studies, and social communication and media. You will learn not only programming and web application design, but also communication mechanisms, text, image and sound analysis, and the cultural context of digital messaging.

Second-cycle (Master's) programme in EIP
The second-cycle programme in Electronic Information Processing lasts 2 years (4 semesters) and leads to the degree of magister (Master). The curriculum combines computer science (51%), cultural and religious studies (35%) and linguistics (14%), offering a broad perspective on information processing in technological, social and cultural contexts. It includes advanced programming techniques, artificial intelligence, automatic information extraction from large text corpora, natural language interface design, semantic analysis, elements of neurolinguistics, Internet anthropology, philosophy of culture, and selected aspects of ethics and management in the IT sector.
